YOU KNEW I WAS TROUBLE FROM THE START (Featuring Theoretical Girl)

2009-05-25 “You Knew I Was Trouble From the Start” is the second single from The Fine Arts Showcase fourth album, the critically acclaimed – “Dolophine Smile”. The track is a duet between singer Gustaf Kjellvander and the British song bird Theoretical Girl.

“We met when we both were touring together on the “Song-slam tour” in Germany. We quickly became good friends and played a lot together during those two-weeks. I really liked the way our voices fit together so I wrote the song with her voice in mind.” Gustaf says and continues: “We write the same kind of music: good honest pop songs plus we both have virtually the same taste in music.”

“You Knew I Was Trouble From the Start” is a duet in the Gram Parson/Emmylou Harris tradition but with barbwire guitars that wrap-around and smoothly caress the two singers characteristic voices.
