Marcus Cato is now 5 songs into his ongoing series of releases here on Adrian Recordings website. We are piece by piece creating a new smaller universe, consisting of less but more intense matter. There are still a few elements and angels to befriend in his music but we are trying to play all our mind cards at once here. There are some master pieces coming up in the near future, there are some noise shocks and some dreamy lingering moments like this week’s “En elektrisk storm gav dem livet åter”

This is the opposite of the Internet. Cato is the opposite of many things. This is the only place where you can find his music. This is how we release his tunes. Nothing more than this little player here, and the music from it. It’s not a statement. It’s just how it is. Please leave a message in the guestbook.

Everything he does is reduced and simple – but seductive. He is allowed to trust every melodical whim. He knows how to manufacture these little whims out of large blocks of experience. How to slowly and carefully chisel out overlapping melodies on a piano. How to grind the barrel-organ in some fabulous French movie. How to make brittle and rustling guitar sounds hover above the landscape. I rise from the grave (still void of gold nuggets) and remove the helmet. Liberated.”

2008-04-29 “Greetings, D!” - A new track from Dmitry Fyodorov saying hello to the D. So what does D stand for? Is it dance, destruction, drunkenness, death, doing it or Dadaism? Or can it be a tribute to the controversial Sergeant D? Founder of the non-profit organization "People for the Ethical Treatment of Zombies" (PETZ), working to ending the injustices that zombies worldwide have had to endure for ages. A great cause for the undead, like Dmitry Fyodorov - bringer of havoc on dance floors and undeadliness. This is the fourth cool track of 2008, featuring roundhouse kick percussion and wicked cut-up rave vocals. This one is one exclusive one. Never before heard, neither in the rink nor on the web.
